Start with a P.L.A.N.
In order to give FORMED to your community, you first need a P.L.A.N.
P.L.A.N. is an acronym that identifies the four categories of parish life in which FORMED should be effectively integrated to reach individuals with enriching Catholic content.
Access in Homes
Whether it’s sacramental prep, RCIA, youth ministry, Bible studies, or other organized faith formation, FORMED has catechetical and supplemental materials that will both provide engaging program material and empower your parish’s staff and volunteers with the resources they need to be faithful and fruitful leaders.
View the Parish Manual for specific ideas on how to use FORMED content in your parish ministries.
Raise up a host of lay evangelists who will be trained to build, lead, and multiply small discipleship groups.
Small-groups provide the much-needed atmosphere where individuals can openly share and intentionally learn their faith. Plus, small-group multiplication can start a movement to reach every member of your parish with the truths of the faith. FORMED series and study guides provide the faithful teaching and practical resources to make this movement a reality.
Access in Homes
Nowhere is the faith more impactful than when it is taught and shared in the home.
“No plan for organized pastoral work, at any level, must ever fail to take into consideration the pastoral care of the family” [Familiaris Consortio 70]. FORMED is your community’s resource not only for parish programs, but to empower that Sunday-only Catholic, as well as every member of your community, to make faith formation and sharing a regular part of their home life.
Engage neighbors within your parish boundaries by offering an invitation to learn more about the faith through access to FORMED.
Christ commands us: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). FORMED, as a resource for teaching the truths of Christ and presenting the goodness and beauty of the faith, empowers every member of your parish to be the missionary they are called to be to their neighbors.
